HONG KONG DAY 2

Itinerary for Day 2!

I'm actually not a morning person. Even though I've been working office hours for a year and I still can't get accustom to it! Sigh~

So I've been worrying not able to get up on time because all the days in Hong Kong, I have to get up VERY VERY Early! T.T So my boy had to wake me up 2 hours earlier because he knows that I will 赖床 (Stay in bed) and I'll need time to prepare cause of my hair! Sigh. Its because if I didn't straighten my hair, my hair will be like Lion. Rawr!

So back to the topic. Its gonnna to be a long post. We headed to Mong Kok cause we heard that there's Tim Ho Wan over there. So when we got there, we heard that they shifted to someone else. So the nearest is Olympian City. So we decided to took a cab over and then we realise that we were too early since it opens at 10am. Instead of just waiting outside, we went to the Supermarket to explore and bought some finger food to eat since we were all famished!

We were all excited to eat at Tim Ho Wan cause we never try it at Sg. Around 9.45am, queue already started and we faster chiong since we didn't want to wait so long. Haha. Typical singaporean.

Picture taken when we just reach cause you don't see any queue. Haha

Finally got in! They don't pour the tea, they just give you a big pot and pour it yourself. But we all dislike the tea cause it taste of plastic! Not sure if its cause the tea is too hot annd when you pour it in the plastic cup, the plastic affect the whole flavor! Ewwwww.

This is not the menu. This is just to show you their popular dishes.

Century Egg w.Lean Pork Congee
Opinion: So so

The highly raved Baked Bun with BBQ pork!
Opinion: Its awesome!!! I love it.

The fillings inside. You can see that its not too dry inside.

Deep Fried Beancurd Skin w. Prawn Fillings
Opinion: It wasn't that bad. The prawns are soooo fresh. Omg. A dish that I must order whenever I have dim sum anywhere

Deep Fried Popiah
Opinion: IT WAS SOO GOOD! And it surprise me with what was inside. Because what I thought was ordinary Popiah fillings.

SEE! Its sooo different from all the popiah I ate before. I think it has tofu, prawns & vegetable

Fried Carrot Cake
Opinion: It was good. But I think it would be better if the skin can be abit more crispier. But you can forgo the chilli cause its SALTY! -.-

Another must order Chee Cheong Fan (Vermicelli Roll) w. Prawn fillings.
Opinion: As I say before, their prawns are so fresh! Anything with it is good.

Chee Cheong Fan (Vermicelli Roll) w. BBQ Pork
Opinion: IT WAS SOOO GOOD! The skin is chewy. Totally love it. But I would love even more if it doesn't have the Chinese Parsley

Prawn Dumpling (Har Kau)

Siew Mai

Some Eggplant stuff with minced meat
Opinion: Wasn't that bad. Was quite tasteless. Must mix with the sauce then it will taste better.

Pork Ribs
Opinion: I've came to love Pork Ribs when I had 1 at Sydney and it was sooo good. But at here, I think it was still alright. Still can pass.

Glutinous Rice stuffed with Chicken & mushroom
Opinion: It wasn't that bad. I can taste the leaf taste when I ate the rice. But we are all sooo full since we ate so much.

Custard Bun
Opinion: This was disappointing cause it was supposed to have the custard flow out! But instead, its all dry up inside.

Tonic Medlar & Osmanthus Petal Cake
Opinion: This was a refreshing ones. Taste actually quite good.

We ordered second round of the Baked Bun with BBQ pork and the guys are sooo happy & crazy about it. Especially Johnson. He can finish up another plate by himself even though we ate so much already. Lolol.

The Bill

Of course, we can't forget to take a group shot together right? Haha

Tim Ho Wan
Shop 72, G/F, Olympian City 2, 18 Hoi Ting Road, Tai Kok Tsui
大角咀海庭道18號奧海城二期G樓72號舖
Tel 2332 2896
Nearest MTR station: Olympic, Exit D3

So we walk around the mall right after that to digest a little of our food. And then we took a cab over to Mong Kok, Ladies Market. There's 2 line of of Taxi Queue right at the Taxi Stand. The nearest one is go across the sea or The Peak (If I didn't remember wrong), and the other is go throughout Hong Kong without crossing the borders or something.

White I was in the cab. Lolol

I read from a blog that its a MUST EAT DESSERT when in Hong Kong.

Hui Lau Shan Healthy Dessert 许留山
Menu on the table. But then the service is SUCKS TO THE CORE! The lady just don't bother coming while I already called for her. Super Annoying.

Johnson & Xue Li were there when we came so we just sat together and share the food since they haven't ordered yet.

I think it wasn't really that nice also. Plus the service attitude sucks and it makes me dislike the dessert even more. Psh

I think that Ladies Market isn't a nice place to walk. Its just like SIngapore's Chinatown. Super boring. Wasted my time there. Sigh.

So after that, we are heading to The Peak & Madame Tussauds.

Getting thereFrom MTR Central station, make your way to the J2 exit and walk up to the ground level. Turn right, through Chater Garden, cross Queen's Road Central, and make your way up Garden Road. You will pass the Bank of China Tower and Citibank Plaza on your left and St John's Cathedral on your right.

Its good that we purchase the tickets online because when we saw the queue, its like OH MY GOSH! Its damn long! You can wait up to 2hours but when you purchase it online, you just have to wait for like 30mins? Yes. I would rather pay for the bank exchange rate than to wait for that long. Haha.
At the entrance

Spot the crowd. ITS super duper crowded and really must chiong to get seats.

Scenery while on the way up. Because of my fear of heights, I only dare to sit and get over with it. Lol

Spot Mr. Tan acting cute with a ribbon clip on his hair. Lolol

Pictures all taken with Samsung EX2F Camera.

Dinner settled at this restaurant cause we were craving for Wanton Mee.

Dumpling Noodles Soup

Some dry noodles with Beef Meat

Johnson: Dry Noodles with Oyster Sauce by the side. Lolol

Wanton Mee Soup

Opinion: It was so so. Pretty expensive for such a small bowl of noodles. But we can forgive for the Wanton cause the prawns are FRESH! I love fresh prawns. Lolol

So we headed to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum next!

Andy Lau's wax figured is the most special one                                                                      since you hear his heartbeat

Reading the history of Madame Tussauds

I can also be the main subject. Haha

Even if I look VERY fat in this picture, I also want to post about my "affairs" with Beckham. Lololol

Sadly, the Hello Kitty Column hasn't been build finish. Only can pose with the entrance.

This marks the end of Day 2. Schedule was full throughout the whole day. Was soooo tired when I got back to the hotel. I think that the Shopping Mall for the Wax Museum was pretty scary. Cause the windows are transparent near the escalator. I was soooo scared whenever I want to take the escalator. I don't even dare to go up high! That's why there is no pictures of me because I didn't went up. Sigh~

Loots for Second day. Bought a dress from H&M for 99HKD during sales Olympian City. 2 Leggings bought at Ladies Market & 1 Coach Bracelet at The Peak during their Sales too! Haha.

WIth love,
Jessalyn
