Hong Kong Day 1, Part 1

Finally, the long awaited trip which were plan like 2 to 3 months ago were here! Super excited for this trip despite many negative points I heard/read from people/blogs. Etc, the food is VERY salty, no chili, the people are very rude and so on. I didn't really take it to heart cause I'm thinking like "How bad can it really be?" Lol.

As you can see, this is a couples trip. Haha. Met the guys at the Airport and we were all excited about it since this is the first time we're travelling together. Forgotten to take a group shot before checking in, so we actually took it after we just check-in.

All happy faces

And before we were told to switch off all electronics device.

After landed, we straight went to pick up our luggage. The airport is huge compared to Tao Yuan & Singapore. As I mention, we are forgetful. So we had to take a photo of us with the Hong Kong MTR Sign instead of the airport. Sigh~

Xueli & Johnson

Chek & Winnie

And this is us.

Definitely cannot miss out a group photo. Haha

This is actually the itinerary for Day 1. But anyone will always know that there will ALWAYS be last minute of changes. Lol. We actually bought tickets that we need to buy online before we actually travel to Hong Kong. Etc, Wax Museum, Macau Ferry, MTR Card, The Peak, Cable Car.

We walk from the station to our hotel, Mini Hotel, Central. We spent almost 30mins walking to our hotel turning here and there, asking a few people for directions. And the worse is we only found out we should've stop at
中環 station since that is the nearest station. Be aware when you're staying at this hotel. Cause you would have to climb a pile of stairs or walk on a slope.

By the time we reach our hotel, it's already 12plus going 1pm. Unfortunately, we are unable to check-in as we're too early. We can only check in after 2pm. Wth. So we had to put our luggage at the hotel first and went out for brunch. Wanted to have dim sum, but was too far. SIgh. Only can settle at Cha Cheng Ting 茶餐廳.

We saw alot of Restaurants + Bar, mostly western stuffs. But this is not the cuisine we want the most. So we just randomly went to have brunch.

Tsui Wah Restaurant 翠華餐廳

Candid shots

All the ready to order face. Lol

Left: Forgot, Right: Coke with Lemon

Yuan Yang Cold Milk Tea
This is actually so much better than what I had in SG. Not too sweet yet too much coffee. LOVE

Yong Tau Foo (Chek & Winnie)
*Thumbs up*

Tom Yum something (Winnie)
*Boo*
The bowl actually quite cool cause you won't need to be afraid of scaling your hands.

Looks really good but then what a pity

Wanton Mee (Chek)
Never try this but he says the prawns is good cause its fresh & sweet.

Forgot what name is this. But can be seen in the menu. (Russell)
This is actually pretty good, but i think the egg is quite salty. Must really mix with rice then the taste will be just nice.

Creamy Paste with Mushrooms & Prawns
I really love creamy paste. Those really thick creamy. This isn't thick but the taste is just nice. But its a little bland for me. But overall is good.

Tomato Base Prawns Pasta (Johnson)
All are complementing about the fresh prawns.

Total bill is about 73.90 SGD (My exchange rate is 6.2)
Pretty cheap is divided by 3. About $25 per couple.

Went back to the hotel to check-in and wash up! Shock came to everyone except me cause they all really didn't expect the room to be so small. It is to the extend that 2 people is really enough to be in the room.

The reason why wasn't I shock cause I've already watch the video of the room. Lol. What I'm so shock is that they provide only 1 tower when they knew 2 people are staying -.-

View from the toilet. During the first 2 nights, I keep forgotten to close the window. I even had to ask my boyfriend that do I even need to close the window? Lol. Funny me.

Shall end here with Part 1. Stay tune for my Part 2! *Wink*

With love,
Jessalyn
